Is there any “Labra” in your “ASD Labradoodle” ?

September 1, 2009

Accurate information from the Founder on the ASD Australian Labradoodle to help you avoid many pitfalls when looking for your Labradoodle puppy. Beware the term “multigen” they are often copies. The Australian Labradoodle is not a Lab x Poodle! Nor is it a Lab x Poodle back bred to another Poodle. It is NOT a Designer Dog. It is a purpose bred dog created and developed over twenty two years by selective breeding. Beverley Manners website 2009

Breeders and purchasers of Rutland Manor ASD Australian Labradoodles are starting to ask the question “Am I getting what I paid for?” There is no doubt these dogs are loved no matter what they are. But it is simply dishonest to claim that RM dogs are true Australian Labradoodles when they are quite simply un groomed Poodles.  If you want a poodle there are better breeders out there. What a sham!

Yes sooo true, I was duped, my breeder was duped as well as hundreds of other breeders. The word will spread and soon the truth will be known about RM/TP and what they have done = fraud!!! The ASD is a fake and there is no such thing. We have poodle mixes at best. There hasn’t been a lab for eons. 😦

I don’t know if this pedigree is accurate or is what was used to produce subsequent pedigrees for litters whelped by Rutlands Red Signorita and then given out to purchasers of her puppies or not however, any puppy purchaser would not likely have known the breed type behind each of the dogs recorded. Then of course there is the pedigrees behind the various Dogs used who were mated to Rutlands Red Signorita. This is on the basis that Beverly Manners did not include the % of breed type with pedigrees. Having again looked at a pedigree displayed on Beverly’s website for Happy Wanderer Of Rutlands , (‘Wanda’, the $80 pound “rescue”) it is evident that the names only and not the breed type is included on RM pedigrees. If this pedigree is accurate and this is the pedigree given out to purchasers without any knowledge of breed type, then this is extremely deceptive and dishonest. It is however also irresponsible given the high possibility of unknown health issues. Accurate pedigrees are essential for both the purchaser and the health of the dog. Only purchasers of puppies whelped by Rutlands Red Signorita can answer these questions in respect to what they were given and what they were led to believe.

Bev on her website has now posted all the cute puppies she sent around the world. Duh, of course the puppies are cute and some become service dogs. It still misses the point, your dogs are DEBARKED, in KENNELS, live a life of ILLEGAL breeding and are not well cared for, i.e. pics of mask. You lied about pedigrees BEV!!!!! Your dogs are NOT Labradoodles they are mostly poodle, this can been proven by DNA testing which some have already done. You claim you have a ministry, why kind of ministry lies to the very people they claim to care for???? You still may have the blind followers that still believe your lies. More and more a waking up to the truth.

Here’s a biblical quotation just for Beverley:

I am Pauline Hendriks from Holland. Believe me it is not only Beverly Manners who is acting this way. There are lots of Dutsh breeders praising her in order to fill their own pockets, only because they have dogs which came from behind her gates. They are not saying anything about this in order not to lose their own business. It is realy nasty.
But Beverly Manners, I can show you her mails, I felt she was a criminal and I stopped the deal, buying a puppy this month from Knossos and Shania.
I lost my deposit, since she did not want to be responsible for anything happening behind her gates. Considering the conditions of the dogs I wanted her to be responsible for the puppy until its arrival. She got very angry. Bye Beverly
She is not the founder of the labradoodle anyway, Wally Coron was and Don Evans. She continued with the material from Don Evans which could not be used anyway! Wally Conron should have had the credit in the lines name not Rutland MAnor.

      Hi Pauline,

I’m also from the Netherlands and have an Australian Labradoodle. We bought ours when we lived in the States. His mother was called Rutlands Hannah. We love our Doodle. He fun, healthy, has a great fur and lot’s of energy. However, we’re considering a other one in a year or 2. My question now is, from whom do I get my next Australian Labradoodle? Who can we still trust?

Greed is catching, most breeders who have paid $20,000 for a bitch will want their money back. Well done Pauline for avoiding the Greed Trap. You love your dogs more than money, we know what Beverley loves.

Yes Silva and Pauline, I only hope more and more breeders that have been duped by Beverley will come forward. 20K for a dog of unknown heritage is unbeliveable and at the very best fraud. There are unfortuately many breeders across the world that will not come forward because they fear losing their money on their investment. Greed is a very hard thing to fight. Kudos to you Pauline for seeing behind the mask.

Now her website claims she did indeed get away from the Labrador and has not used it in her designer breed due to shedding and wanting an allergy friendly dog. So, there is no Lab in your doodle, CORRECT?? Why then do you call these dogs LABRADOODLES, when they are clearly NOT. They are Poodle crosses, period, better yet Cocka poos since you clearly infused Cocker spainels and an irish water spaniel. But no Labs whatsoever.

I have no complaint that the pedigree I drew up for Rutlands Redd Signorita is on this site as I believe that pedigrees should be open and honest.
I would like to make a few comments though. This pedigree took over 6 weeks for me to feel that it was a responsible attempt at the truth and publishable.
Some of the thought process behind it can be found in the thread on the UKLA
    from page three onwards.

In particular I feel that I have reached a resolution on the identity of the Tegan Park Collectors (Ace and Item) as it is clearly impossible for 4 generations to have been born in one year, with the standard poodle born in March and his great grandson said to have been born in the same year in November. Generations have been added and the result is that the offspring of a poodle appear to be multigen labradoodles.

In addition I have not presented any detail that I cannot back up from pedigrees sent out with the dogs by Rutland Manor and Tegan Park.

To finish though, I would ask people to consider that the FINANCIAL value of a dog is in the pedigree and that a pedigree must represent the real dogs involved in it and this requires some standard of honesty.

Since we now know that Wanda was a pound puppy with a false pedigree, has anyone researched Mystery (Miss story) of Rutlands, could she be a pound puppy as well, as she stated on her old website she was a puppy bred from an unregistered breeder just like she said Wanda was????

Beverley Manners is selling what is, essentially, Poodles with false pedigrees for large sums of money. Is my thinking correct? How many Labradors are in the Rutland Manor bloodlines? Have you found any?

  13. Carole Grundy permalink

For Heike, I have found a pedigree for Mystery, who is said to be sired by Tegan Park Phantom (standard poodle TP Torriador x TP Magdella and whose dam is given as Tessa (Rutlands Midnite Shadow x a poodle called Sheba) Sheba’s sire is Jacklow Black Sparkl -pedigree can be found here
and her dam is from Wazky, Sunshine Star poodle lines.
If this pedigree actually refers to the dog Mystery born in 2003, the percentage of poodle is at least 80%. What the dash of something else is, I cannot tell you.
To describe some of the inconsistencies it would be easiest to give an example.

Hover over the pictures and you can identify 14 month old Chester and Torriador.

It is the same Photo of Tegan Park Torriador now renamed Chester, just 2 years later!!

The Internet archive requires patience, sometimes pictures are retained in the archive and sometimes they are not but can be found on a different date in the archived files.

To reply to Ellie’s question. I have found no evidence of Labrador Retrievers in the RM pedigrees, there are names that are recognisable Cockers, (English and American), Irish Water Spaniels and Soft Coated Irish Wheaten Terriers and large numbers of Poodles, Standard, Miniature and also Toys. Early dogs are of varying appearance, some look like cockerpoos or even shih tzu crosses in their pictures.

When dogs are acquired in numbers from other puppy farms or the pound, pedigrees are unlikely to be of any value and there could indeed be any breed in them… including Labrador. One for DNA testing I think. People would be amazed to learn just how much wholesale dealing in dogs goes on between the big puppy farms, with lorry loads delivered at a time. This is usually because orders for dogs need filling and there is as shortage or sometimes there are too many of one sort and not sufficient of another

Thank you Carol. I am shocked that there may be toy poodles involved though. I have never seen any mention of toy poodles in the RM pedigrees that are online. How often have they been used? I assume they were only used as sires.

  14. Carole Grundy permalink
    October 6, 2009 11:08 pm

Hi Ellie, I haven’t seen any mention of toy poodles in the RM/TP pedigrees, they are called miniature or standard but many of the so called miniatures are in fact toy poodles.
A prime example is Mon Cher, whose real pedigree can be found here He is the same breeding as Aust Ch Moncherrie Coin a Fraze ( Aust Ch Moncherrie Nota Red Cent x Trazarra Nine Carat Gold)

This may not seem significant until you realise that the descendants of a tiny toy poodle, such as Mon Cher, are retained and mated often while still puppies to much bigger dogs who have standard poodle in their pedigrees.
Frankly this is scary and there are obvious dangers to these little bitches!
Is this why the toy poodles are marketed as being miniature poodles? Or is it because there is a lot of prejudice against toy dogs particularly amongst men.

Many other pedigree toy poodles are in the pedigrees, Redsonnet Fred Astair (also called TP Fred Astair) is described as a miniature but he is most definitely a toy poodle! There is also the mysterious blue poodle Chimney Sweep who has left an uncertain genetic inheritance, at least the other little poodles are from quality stock.

Hi I have a Rutland Manor Labradoodle “Digby”. He is 6 years old and a puppy of “Yogi Bear” and “Mintee”.

Digby at 18months of age was diagnosed with “Atopy” which my vet advised is genetically linked. When I questioned Beverley about this and asked for assisance under her “health guarantee” I also received the typical Beverley Manners response.

Digby’s life will more than likely be shortened by the fact that he is on Prednil daily for the rest of his life.

I have records of other RM/TP progeny with some skin problems, mostly (thank heavens) these are mild and have not required extensive treatment like Digby. Two of them come from a similar line to Digby.

Ethical breeding does not mean we never breed an unhealthy dog, that is impossible… it does mean we learn what is safe and what is not and breed accordingly, and we support our puppies for life.

Is the same true for Valley View as it is for RM? I have an ALD with Valley View in her pedigree.

  18. Carole Grundy permalink
    October 23, 2009 6:03 pm

I first came across the Valley View dogs in pedigrees when the Tegan Park dogs were auctioned. A look at Valley View was quite sufficient to show what quality of breeder they are. Valley View Kennels are in Gippsland Victoria and breed Labradoodles, Schnoodles, Spoodles, Roodles & Maltese x Poodles as well as Poodles. Puppies always available.
It was obvious that there were major connections between Rutland Manor, Tegan Park and Valley View when you see the pedigrees. Tegan Park Nyesha and D’Artagnan were in the auction

These pedigrees are no more reliable than the Rutland Manor pedigrees I have seen but there do seem to be Labradors in the Valley View pedigrees.

Murray is shown to be labradoodle on the auction site pedigrees, when he is very clearly a small brown poodle according to the Valley View website. I can’t tell you who decided it would be more “convenient” for him to be a Labradoodle!

Tegan Park Leighe is also called Valley View Leigha in other pedigrees, she can be seen here

TP Leighe/Valley View Leigha’s sire is said to be Tegan Park I’m A Collectors Itm (or on other pedigrees Tegan Park I’m A Collectors Ace), in reality probably the Standard Poodle Marlau I’m A Collectors Itm as the other two seem to have little credibility apart from to increase the number of Labradoodle generations behind the progeny.

Other dogs that appear in Valley View part of the RM/TP pedigrees include Vonsilbertal Plutarch who has exactly the same parentage as “Challenger” and, in my opinion, is the same dog. A standard poodle called Pluto is pictured in the Valley View archives

as is a small blue poodle called Choof.

“Choof” is an odd name, and I noticed that Rutlands Chimney Sweep has a grandson called Rutlands Choofer. Rutlands Chimney Sweep has NEVER appeared on the Rutland Manor Website and was recently said to be 12 years old and in good health, sadly that cannot be said for all his progeny..;article=205497;search_term=Rutlands+Chimney+Sweep

To sum up, the connections are obvious and the question is , who was breeding for whom?

It is unusual to find such very clear evidence of deception as the Torriador/Chester photos. It’s a small example of a huge deception. Many breeders are now reporting their poor experience of Rutland Manor, good for them!
I have one other example though, Rutlands Flower Power, started off as Tegan Park Gypsy and had her first two litters on the same day to the same stud dogs as her alias. Rutlands Flower Power’s pet name was Gypsy but she was no pet, having at least 7 litters (I keep finding them!)
17-Oct-00 Rutlands Flower Power x Rutlands Heritage
27-Apr-01 Rutlands Flower Power x Rutlands Chocolate Captain
20-Nov-01 Rutlands Flower Power x “Ima Collector’s Itm”
23-May-02 Rutlands Flower Power x Rutlands Cadet
12-Nov-02 Rutlands Flower Power x Rutlands Cadet
23-May-03 Rutlands Flower Power x Tegan Park Cool Dude
30-Jun-04 Rutlands Flower Power x Harvey

Rutlands Flower Power (Gypsy) AKA Tegan Park Gypsy
Either her sire and dam were
    1 Tallas Ole Faithful x R Chelsea
    2 Mirrindini x Truffle
    Or maybe
3 TP Fortune Teller x TP Fraggle

So which was it? I think Gypsy was a bitch in need of a pedigree and maybe none of these are true. It does also leave a doubt in any reasonable person’s mind as to what breed she was (if known), her derivation and indeed any health tests she was said to have. I do hope she finally had a good home.
It certainly is a convoluted mess.

One can’t correct the truth. Bev hides her head but she has no shame for anything she does and everything she does is pure evil and deception. The day she goes to prison will be cause for the entire Labradoodle world to rejoice. Lets hope that day is just around the corner.

Many people have kept journals and copied evidence and the stack is growing to be presented to the authorities. Just you wait Mrs. Manners. Enjoy your freedom while you can. Your computer holds a goldmine of incriminating evidence and soon it will all be out in the open. Lets see how you lie your way out of that.

    November 6, 2009 9:23 am

I suspect the research is published in her bank records!

I’m doing research though, and the more I look the more I find.
When Rutlands Charlemagne was supposed to go to England as a premium Australian Labradoodle, I found his pedigree and discovered that there were some oddities. The dam is said to be Taranella (or Tarenella) Tara who has had a lot of puppies for Rutland Manor.
Problem… it’s a completely unknown kennel name. The pedigree looks extremely “insubstantial” with unknown Taranella “this and that” given as ancestors.

I think the UK kennel would not have got an “Australian Labradoodle” if they had bought Taranella Tara’s puppy, apart from anything else the bitch doesn’t look like one.

Would the Genuine Resarchers on this site like to look into this one?

  28. heike allison permalink
    November 9, 2009 11:22 am

Tara aka Tarenlla actually is the only dog in Bev’s lineup that looks like a labradoodle, albeit a first generation, lab x poodle cross also known as a F1. But she claims she doesn’t have this type of dog. So is it my understanding she bred an F1 with her breeding studs and then claim them to be her genuine ASD’s.

  29. Carole Grundy permalink
    November 9, 2009 7:03 pm

I totally agree Heike, Tara does look like most scruffy F1’s, but the pedigree does not match the dog in my opinion. If she is an F1 then at least she had labrador in her. More of concern is where is she now?

My shetland sheepdogs are described in just the same way, they love attention, interact well with all aged people, easy to train, love playing games, both with me and their kennel mates… they dont know they are a sheltie, any more then a labradoodle knows they are a labradoodle. We do not blame the dogs for what is happening, just the disreputable breeder.
