Who wants to be a Millionaire

September 25, 2009

Well by now we have all seen the reply to this website “Why we support Rutland Manor” , why indeed. Most of you like us have looked at the pictures and came up with more questions ! Most of the photos people have questioned have now been removed (10 in total), perhaps they revealed just a little to much of the dogs living conditions?

For those of you who still have doubts that Rutland Manor is a puppy farm, please click on this document, then zoom in to enlarge. Please note the sentence under the blacked out paragraph (blacked out  by Baw Baw Shire Council).

“We operate an international dog business which brings in over a million dollars annually into the Export coffers of this country’s economy…Beverley Rutland-Manners Director New Covenant Corporation Pty Ltd”

This was written by Beverley 18 months ago.

So while Beverley sips tea, entertains her guests, and fills her websites with puppies, flowers and sugar and spice, her dogs are down the back in the concrete cell blocks and tin sheds making her a million dollars. They have no bedding, no toys, no comfort, they are her breeding machines and Rutland Manor Breeding and Research Center is a scam.

It is the line that you cross when, instead of working to support your breed, you ask it to support you !

Beverly as it is evident you are not paying some of your creditors out of your million dollar annual earnings, I assume you are of course declaring your million dollar annual earnings to the federal government and on all your company records, or are these million dollar annual earnings actually all going into the RM coffers as opposed to the government’s export coffers ?

As the Director for New Covenant Corporation Pty Ltd you obviously do indeed manage and have complete responsibility for the ‘collection plate’ for your factory.

No doubt Beverly you will now bleat that the current world economy and world wide recession and global governments are to blame for a down turn in trade and that you haven’t been able to afford to renovate your filthy kennels and that you can’t afford to provide warm bedding or stimulating toys or grooming services for your inmates. Guess this is why the recent removal of your beautiful dogs was dangerously and recklessly and cheaply undertaken in the back of horse floats too ?

I bet however that your annual puppy numbers for the same periods haven’t diminished, and are similar to the 400 plus puppies you pumped out in 2005 !

Her dogs don’t work to just support Beverley – they support her whole redneck family 😦

Wow, new site, like it!! Feel like I’m in the bright lights now, lol. The New Covenant is Bev’s ploy in a religious twist. No change in her practices though, same ole same ole. Ditch her financial responsibilities and ditch her responsibility towards her dogs.

Oh and the Thesis Bev is writing to bring about the end to dogs dying in shelters, Give me a break, another BS blathering from her as was the Monash studies, just to give her some credibility. Bev, no one will take you serious on this or anything else, you have been called out out on your many lies.

Your are correct Heike. While I doubt Bev has ever felt any responsibility towards her dogs, aside from feeding them (and probably only becasue this was essential to keep the factory workers working) , the New Covenant Corporation Pty Ltd is Bev’s standard dishonest way to continue to gain access to the RM $ because Rutland Manor was declared bankrupt and still owes creditors condiderable $, and as Bev’s own statement confirms, we are talking about a consdierable amount of earnings in $. Not surprising though when you consider that Wanda the rescue pound bitch alone earned Bev $100,000. If Bev has continued to pump out similar numbers of puppies with all her bitches over and over again, very easy to understand the million dollar per annum earnings. I would however be interested to know how much tax Bev has had to pay over the years. Obviously Bev has a big vested interest to keep the factory open and working around the clock becasue with this amount of income, she would never be entitled to receive an Australian Seniors Pension.

Where have her dogs gone?? Will she reconstitute herself and find another breeding site?? Or will she do the right thing and scale down her breeding program and really put her dogs in guardian homes or better yet will she retire and stop breeding all together. I place my money on the first.

Heike – this woman could not define ” the right thing” – she is motivated by the lust for profit and her energy will go into finding another way to achieve it.
Authorities’ general disregard for animal rights will probably sadly mean more dogs suffering from her abuse.
Is there anyway we can band together and use this puppy farmer as a case study to institute widespread change. There are lawyers groups such as BLEATS who are involved in animal rights (and may be others).

What amazes me is that Mutland Manor keeps on keeping on. It is like a nightmare that no one can seem to wake from. I am sure Beverly will just move elsewhere and do it all again. She will once again bad mouth all the people who were loyal to her and ‘who did the wrong thing’ by her. It is a pattern that just doesn’t stop. What a pity that all ex friends and employees can’t speak up for fear of retribution.

The term “rutland” is interesting given one of the definitions of “rut” is – A condition or period of mammalian sexual activity, such as estrus.
I posed the question on the Rutland Manor hype site whether that was the reason the name was chosen….

Madelaine, she may move and buy another puppy farm, but we will find her and expose her AGAIN, she will not be able to run and hide. The brave ex employees and ex friends have spoken out and will continue to speak out. Her spin website and all the pictures (sans the inside of her prison cells) have done nothing but expose the reality of where her dogs spend their days, dog runs with no toys, rutted out paths of which they run back and forth all day, tin sheds with no climate control, I wouldn’t even board my dog there for even one day! Her so called breeding and research center, what research is going on there?? It is nothing more than a puppy mill, a slick one yes, but still the same result. There is no GREEN, GREEN, Grass of home for her dogs, just breeding and confinement. Not the picture of dogs in guardian homes she professes to have pioneered, due to her “dislike” of breeding dogs being in kennels. The FACT is her breeding dogs ARE in kennels and not very nice ones at that.

I just found this web site after looking at RMs site for coat color info. I am sorry to see that America is not the only place that has puppy mills.I am a hobby breeder or backyard as some would say . I have 2 English bulldogs and a standard poodle who is the proud mama of nine baby doodles at the moment. People who don’t breed dogs don’t realize how much time you have to spend with your puppies so that they are ready for the world or well socialized as breeders put it. If puppies are kept in out buildings and in large numbers might I add then how much time do you have to really play with them or get to know them each individually. We start to leash train and socialize our pups outside the home before they find a new forever family.Sometimes they don’t all get homes until maybe 12 weeks of age. I read in a puppy training book that all puppies should meet at least 400 people and other animals before the age of 16 weeks.I believe this to be correct. How can RM or any other large scale kennel accomplish this. THEY CANT!!! If you want a puppy get one from the pound. If you don’t want a pound puppy then buy one from a breeder whose dogs live in home with them. If they don’t live in the home with them then they have to many to properly fairly or properly for them. When you buy from a place like RM you support dogs living in cages and no matter how big the cage it is no kind of life for anyone. Think of it. Living in a cage is what will happen to us humans if we break the law.Its no fun!! That’s why people don’t want to go to prison. If you own a dog you should take them places all the time with you. Can you imagine what it would be like to never leave your home or yard even. That’s what life is like for your dog if you don’t. Dogs in the wild would walk miles every day. They are not happy to just be part of your life. You are responsible for making sure they have an interesting and enjoyable life too. I only have a standard poodle not a doodle but my best friend does have an F1b labradoodle and she keeps her in full coat. It takes a lot of brushing, bathing and combing to keep a doodle or a poodle in good shape and if you own a long coated dog you would probably agree with me that when they are in need of a bath or a good grooming they don’t look like they feel good. Then you groom them and its like hey look at me I’m the most beautiful creature on 4 legs. All of the dogs I have seen in these pictures on this site have that look of like OK I need a bath and a shave now cause I don’t feel very good like this. Please if you are reading this then buy your next puppy from someone who loves dogs and raises them in home because if you keep buying then places like RM will keep selling and further more I think my American doodles are every bit as gorgeous as an RM doodle any day. I guess I don’t get what the hype is about with these Aust doodles anyway.Did someone really say Bev sold dogs for upwards of 20,000 to breeders? That’s just crazy. They aren’t any better then any other F1b doodles out there. I think its great that someone made it a mission to call out a place like RM! Keep up the good work

I am in Manhattan, NYC and all the sites I have seen in America state that they got their stock from Rutland Manor and Tegan Park? in Australia and that is precisely where the best lines are for the Australian Labradoodle. I am looking for a puppy and now I am totally confused.

Where are the good lines for this breed? If someone could help out and give me some places to buy a good dog that would be great.

Thank you all for your posts.
