The factory continues

September 3, 2010

The frozen semen is rapidly being thawed and the cogs in the Rutland Manor factory are starting to turn once again.

Ava recently gave birth to 8 puppies and was inseminated with Rutland’s Red Baron’s semen. Red Baron was sold for thousands to an oversea’s breeder years ago. Beverley took what she wanted from the dog, semen, then sold him for thousands to another breeder, but continues to make money from his semen! Wonder if the breeder who now owns Red Baron is impressed with that little scam?

And Ava’s sister, Anya gave birth to 12 puppies, 7 boys and 5 girls, (a dozen possible cardiac patients) this week and against veterinary advice she was mated to Knossos.

There is a genetic component to this condition (PDA) as such this dog should not be used for breeding. Nor should the parents. Dr Nicol BVMS Cert Mgmt MRCVS Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Beverley claims that Anya gave birth to 6 puppies, however “she still had a tummy full of wriggling little bundles so we took her to the vet to see how many were waiting to be born inside”. Is this how you treat a dog in labour, you pick her up put her in a car and drive her to the vet because you are curious? “Another six! So rather than put her through more hours of labour we opted for elected caesarian to make it easier on her” Rubbish! More than likely there were complications and poor Anya had to have surgery. We would be interested in real breeder’s comments on this.

Poor Shania will be next, the dog Beverley received her final warning for back to back illegal breeding. Beverley ignored the final warning and went on to illegally breed Kirstie for the third time in 12 months.  Shania has had so many litters that even Beverley doesn’t know how many she has had, and Shania has had mastectomy surgery. Instead of looking at her and allowing her to retire, Beverley will squeeze another litter from her, and who knows how many more. The mighty dollar and an over inflated ego is the only thing that seems to matter to Beverley Manners, if the dogs are capable of producing, produce they will! The factory must keep going at any cost.

The health tests are a joke, dogs with known genetic disease illness’s are continually mated. Its bad luck if the puppy gets sick, your vet will be blamed, the way you treated the puppy will be blamed, it will be all your fault, or your emails will be ignored! Your Rutland Manor puppy purchased with a few clicks of the mouse will be delivered with potentially any of the following, hip dysplasia, heart mumors, skin conditions, behavioural issues and a fake pedigree thrown in! And your purchase will ensure the parents of your cute puppy will continue to be enslaved at the Rutland Manor factory.

Don’t be part of the cycle, be part of the solution, Boycott Rutland Manor and stop the cruelty.

When a breeder has had so much impact in the doodle world as RM has, it is not unusual for that breeder to feel above God. She feels that playing Russian Roulette with Knosses’ genetic flaw is just dandy. Knosses, a stud who has produced puppies with heart issues, should have been neutered; instead RM is very willing to sell these puppies to buyers without disclosure. I hope and pray those on this waiting list read this site. How heartbreaking for those buyers to follow the same sad path as the previous owners of the heart issues that plagued his previous litters.

How can you make such claims of health, care, handling, etc. when you do something as unethical as this? A responsible breeder would never do this.

You can say you do everything above board and that everything being said is a rumor or that breeders are jealous or whatever spin she uses to distort what is being written, but what has just been done cannot be denied. She INTENTIONALLY bred a stud with HEART ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN PASSED ONTO PUPS, with no disregard to her customers, the dogs themselves or the impact it will have on the breed. :+(

This is not a rumor, she can’t blame anyone else for the mating – all of this is her doing and her choice only. She needs institutional help and soon. At her own hand, she will destroy the breed she claims to have loved so much.

For anyone on the current wait list for an Anya and Knosse’s pup you can read one of the personal stories about their Ava/Knosses pup with PDA (heart problem), that Joyce eluded to.
      http://www.floridagirlinsydney.com/2010/02/drama-with-my-bitch.html

There were other pups with issues too.
Beverely should be able to provide the future owners of one of these pups with a copy of the cardiac clearance on both Knosses’s and Anya since she is well aware of these health issues in the Knosses’s past litter with Ava (Anya’s sister).
PDA can be a polygenic recessive disease and may not show up in the parents..but nonethe less..a Cardiac clearance is a must because it very well could show a cardiac problem in either of the parents and even if the are cardiac clear…the mating should never have been duplicated with Ava’s sister Anya since these bloodlines have already proven they problem problems when mated together.
      Quite irresponsible breeding for sure!

If I was a future puppy owner on a wait list for one of these pups..I would surely be asking Beverely for the proof of cardiac clearance on the parents.
My guess is ..if they do ask..she won’t sell them a puppy. Her answer will most likely be..”
It’s apparent you don’t trust me as a breeder so perhaps you should get a puppy elsewhere or I don’t choose to do business with people who feel they can’t trust me”
This is how she circumvents their direct question with her pat responses.

It’s a sad situation what she is willing to do and not do, just for the sake of making money

Beverley claims that Anya gave birth to 6 puppies, however “she still had a tummy full of wriggling little bundles so we took her to the vet to see how many were waiting to be born and elcted for a c-sections to make it easy on her! Rubbish is right!

As a breeder myself..tShe may be fooling her puppy owners ..but NO breeder would EVER do this for convenience sake for the mom. Many females deliver large litters like this without intervention . There was obviously some complications ..but I don’t understand her motive for not telling the truth? And if there truly were no complications and she put Anya through a c-section for no good reason other than saying it would be easier on Anya..then she really needs her head examined and needs to stop breeding!
What’s up with her for heavens sake????!!!!

As a registered breeder I agree with Mary.

Any responsible registered breeder know exactly when a litter is due and you watch and watch and watch. Many responsible breeders will also know the size of the litter because the bitch will have been scanned or xrayed earlier. The one thing all responsible breeders do is document – the time of delivery for each pup and the time in between which provides a guide to any problems. There were either complications or this girl was simply just exhausted. Inertia can often set in with big litters. Further at the conclusion of any whelping (including one that has taken place with no issues) all responsible breeders will take the bitch to a vet to be examined to check and make sure and receive a ‘clean out’ injection to rid any chance of any infection.

I would guess Beverly has opted for a C Section for one reason – the loss of any puppies would have been financially detrimental to her. These puppies were measured in terms of their $ value and Beverly wanted them all whelped and all alive to top up her bank account.

Alarmingly, the photo above was posted on Beverly’s private new chat page by the family who has been ALLOCATED the puppy ALREADY.

The poor unsuspecting family posted this comment with the photo, “Hurray!!!! Welcome to the world our little Chocolate Drop. We’re over the moon with our little boy and our list of names is expanding by the minute. Love from one very excited family.”

What happened to Rutland Manor’s temperament testing? What happened to matching puppies’ to families based on family needs and the puppy’s unique traits? You can’t tell anything substantial about a puppy’s temperament at this age, it is far too young. Anything Beverly tells you to the contrary is a money grubbing lie.

It’s all about money. Rutland Manor will send you any brown puppy and tell you it is the one from the photo! Ask Beverly about the tests she did not run on the parents of these puppies, are you receiving a discount due to the health risks your puppy will endure? Will she cover heart defects and Addison’s disease in the health warranty?

    Wake up people!

It is more than disgusting to knowingly bring 12 new cardiac patients into the world, all for her almighty dollar. Obviously the money tree over there is dry so she had to get those cha-ching cha-ching puppies out of Anya. Planned C-section my arse.

Watch out Barb Sutton, you best get some real good canine health insurance. You WILL need it. Aren’t you at all concerned that BM of RM has already sorted out the perfect puppy for you when he is only but a few days old. I bet every breeder would love to know what temperament testing she uses or what magic spells she can put on the puppy to make him the perfect little chocolate drop for Barb.

Seeing that innocent puppy in the hands of the devil makes one stomach churn. Just you wait BM of RM, your surprise will be arriving soon.

Beverley Manners is breeding against clear unambiguous veterinary advice. I hope the new owners have been told of the risk and insured against it. Even if she did pay up, how can you insure against the heartbreak of a dying puppy?
Rotten Manor is just churning them out without due care.

Can’t wait for the suprise!!! What is even harder to understand is how she still can even dupe people into buying her pups at all…very sad..

On the bottom of the RM website is Bev’s little copyright inclusion. What I found amusing was the bit about “….the writer and publisher do not guarantee that the content is without flaw of any kind or is wholly appropriate for your particular purposes and therefore disclaims all liability for any error, loss or other consequence which may arise from you relying on any information on this website…..”.

That must be the ‘get out of gaol free card’ for the information contained in the pedigrees, puppy deals, transport deals, agreements etc, not to mention all the very sick dogs.

Never in my life would I feel compelled to have to write those words on my website. I AM responsible for what is brought forth. When I make the decision to mate dogs together, it is based on health, temperament, balance, coats, mouths, earsets and a myriad of other concerns to IMPROVE the breed. This is responsible breeding – NOT posting that ‘I am not responsible for what may or may not occur through my choices!’

Wow, if I were looking for a puppy, I would run far away when I read that. It all but SHOUTS – ‘I AM A PUPPY MILL AND THERE IS NO RECOURSE FOR WHAT I BREED AND YOU PURCHASE.’ Unbelievable.

How do you temperament test something that is born blind and deaf? Does the health guarantee still stand that she used to offer – and avoided paying out on like the plague?

    • September 13, 2010 2:11 pm

After reading the ‘copyright’, I would understand that to mean that she stands by nothing done by her, the ‘company’ she represents’ or any other interpretation. In other words, she is TOTALLY blameless.

Isn’t Beverley clever, so she thinks. She has about 62 members in her secret society chat site that requires you to pay an entrance fee of $500.00 to be among the chosen. LOL! Pathetic. What she should know is there is a group of her so called, loyal supporters who report everything that goes on there to people who will have the last laugh. Big brother was and is watching you Beverley and there is littleyou do that isn’t known. Was YOUR computer compromised? Is your house bugged? Think about it. It’s easy to copy a hard drive and share it with just about anyone who is interested. Watch those close to you. You have enemies within and you haven’t had a clue. LOL!
Does poor Minna of Stuartlea Poodles aware that you publicly blame her for mistreating your dogs? I hope she doesn’t fall sucker to hiding your dogs again when the authorities come after you, and they will. That is a promise.

    here we go again:-

    History just keeps repeating itself.

We all remember the Alex Van Overen – Therapy Dogs fiasco involving Bev.

NOW Beverley has managed to entanglt Halo Dogs into her web of lies and deceipt.
I wonder how long it will take until THEY discover the REAL Beverley Manners.

We have ALL been there. We have ALL trusted Bev and her breeding program.

Yet Bev is till convincing people that she is a pure as the driven snow – squeaky clean.

Time is all it will take – they will see for themselves – unless of course they are tarred with the same brush and hiding under the umbrella of “Service Dogs” – just like Beverley.

Perhaps HALO are themselves in agreement with Bev’s “Breeding Standards and practices” why else would they ignore all of the evidence throughout the world?????

Farms of Shame haven’t posted about this latest fiasco. I’ve contacted the people involved at Halo and put the facts before them. I am going to assume that they are an ethical and caring organisation and didn’t realise what Bev is up to.
They are going to have to prove themselves.

Wow, her keyboard is in a frenzy once again….Hostage dogs….bankruptsy…really Bev, isn’t you that was on the verge on bankruptsy?? Isn’t you that have kept your dogs hostage in order to breed over and over again?? Your slick website doesn’t tell the real story does it?? You can cut and paste all you want, but the truth is the truth….you are a slick puppy farmer with no scruples and continue to deceive anyone that visits your site. NOthing will change the facts you debarked your breeding dogs, you kept them in horrible conditions, you could care less about their health and well being. We are not deceived Bev, we know the truth about you and will keep telling it as long as it takes……..
